Coole Swan super-premium cream liqueur has taken flight from Ireland to New York. The brand was launched in Ireland in March 2007 and has been rolled out to key international markets, including the U.K., Duty Free/Travel Retail markets and the U.S. A sales and sampling blitz began early in October in New York city that will continue through the holiday season with a target list of approximately 800 outlets. The two elements at the heart of cream liqueur—Irish cream and Irish whiskey—have been sourced to meet the highest standards and are combined with a blend of natural chocolate, Madagascan vanilla and cocoa from the Ivory Coast. More than 200 blends were tested before a perfect balance was achieved that was worthy of the “superior” distinction. “We recognized that there was a genuine gap in the super-premium category for a luxury cream liqueur,” says David Phelan, Coole Swan's co-creator. “Combined expertise helped produce a new, exciting and authentic brand that delivers in every way the best ingredients, creative packaging and most importantly, a delicious taste.”

The stylish yet simple bottle and literary reference of the brand name borrow from its Irish heritage and local ingredients. A premium frosted bottle, supplied by SaverGlass (www.saverglass.com) in France, invokes the design of traditional glass dairy quarts and is accented with a striking blue label. Coole Swan draws its inspiration from the imagery and lyrical imagination of Ireland's great poet, William Butler Yeats; specifically from his famous poem, “The Wild Swans at Coole.” The beauty of the surroundings that inspired this great work are delicately featured on the frosted bottle, reflecting thhe liqueur's strong Irish roots.

Renowned film director Mike Figgis created a series of short films titled “Coole Stories” for the brand's debut in Ireland. The Irish liqueur is currently available in the U.S. only in New York so far, in 750-mL and 1-L bottles, at an average retail price of $24.99 and $34.00, respectively.
