Intelligrated expands sales engineering team
Intelligrated, a leading North American-owned automated material handling solutions provider, has appointed John Schmidt to the position of sales engineer for the company's N.J.-based eastern regional operations. Schmidt is responsible for developing the company's distribution and fulfillment business in New Jersey and the five boroughs of New York.


Mocon hires food scientist to support GreenLight product line
Alex Liu has joined Mocon Inc. as an application specialist for the GreenLight food safety product line. With master degrees in both food science and biology, Liu has been brought onboard to help Mocon customers find solutions for complex bacterial detection issues.

 

2013 ICE USA expanding
Due to a combination of several new exhibitors coming into the Show and many current exhibitors taking larger booth space, ICE USA 2013 has already surpassed the size of last year's event. According to Bob Chiricosta, show director of ICE USA, nearly 200 companies have already reserved space. ICE USA 2013 will take place from April 9-11, 2013, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

 

SGP expands sustainability certification to Australia
Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP), a non-profit organization providing sustainability certification in the graphic communications industry, has expanded its certification activities to Australia. Currently, Australia is one of the most aggressive countries in addressing broad sustainability issues. By taking this expansion step, the Sustainable Green Partnership can now offer facilities a sustainability certification based on the three pillar approach—economic, societal, and environmental—that also incorporates best management practices for printing facilities.

 

RadTech selects president-elect
Don Duncan, director of research, Wikoff Color Corp., has been selected as the next president-elect for RadTech, the Assn. for UV and EB Technology. Duncan previously served four years on the board of directors for RadTech, and currently serves as the co-chair of the Printing and Packaging Committee. He helped lead the effort to develop the upcoming RadTech 2012 Printing and Packaging Session (www.radtech2012.com). Duncan is the holder of two U.S. patents, the author of more than 30 technical papers and a frequent author in the graphic arts industry trade journals and presenter in graphic arts-related conferences. He is also an active member of TAGA, FTA, TAPPI, ASTM and the American Chemical Society, and now serves as the evp for TAGA, as well as on the SGP Partnership board. He is scheduled to begin his term as president in January 2013.
